One thing that everyone should know how to do incase of an accident is to be able to take down the other person’s information right. To start off you need to get the person's license and there registration which in return you will have to give them. To start off when recording this information I would start with recording the license information first. On the license you need to take down there license number which will be at the top of an over 21 and in the middle of an under 21 license. Next you want to take down there full name and there date of birth after that that will be it for the license. Then you move on to the registration. First you are going to start with the person plat type, registration number, and the expiration date month and day. After you have taken down all that you want to take down who the vehicle is registered to which is not always the same as who may be driving the car. Along with the name take down the there address and there city and state and zip code. After that you move to the bottom of the registration where you take down the MFRS Model, the make (type of car), the model name, body (color). Then last and most important which you can’t forget to do is there insurance company’s name. With all this information you have what you need to fill out the paper work you are going to need to for your insurance company. I feel this is important for everyone to know because if you can’t do this and you mess it up and it was your car that got hit then you could mess up your claim. When I got in my altercation the other day I had know idea what I was to right down and if the officer was not there then I would have missed a few major parts without a doubt. This could have caused me to mess up my claim which could cost me when it comes to my insurance.
